LOCKDOWN REFLECTIONS DAY 76: A loan not alone
One of the things I am loving most about this current disruption we are living through is hearing the stories of great human connection and kindness.
One such story is a young suburban Mom, who happens to be the daughter of good friends of mine, Stef and Maureen, starting a wonderfully named campaign: A Loan Not Alone.
It aims to raise money to give small loans to people to help them through the Covid crisis. Then, the loan is repaid and reused. It's similar to a magnificent scheme I have been tracking for a while in the US, called Modest Needs.
This is one of the signs of a new economy and new society, where "little people" can help other "little people" get over a hump in the road. And then they pay it forward to others. This is the type of world I want to live in. It starts now...
