On the coldest day of the year so far, I am very grateful to live in a house with heaters, electricity and warm water. I am grateful to have a house. I am grateful to have winter clothes in abundance, to be able to have a hot meal and drink, and to climb into a warm bed under a winter duvet. I work for myself and got paid today, because I have some clients (not as many as a few months ago), and they have mostly paid me. I am healthy.
Most of the world’s population cannot say these things. Almost all of my fellow humans are less privileged than this. I am grateful, and remind myself that I am blessed so that I can be a blessing to others.
