LOCKDOWN REFLECTIONS DAY 73: Sleep

I don’t normally need a lot of sleep. Even when I try to get more sleep, and allow my body to wake up naturally, I rarely need more than 7 hours a night. My average has been around 5-6 hours a night since I was 15 years old. And almost always, I wake up 5 minutes before my alarm clock rings.

Even so, Lockdown and Covid-19 have been rotten for sleeping. I have never slept this badly in my whole life. I have battled to get to sleep and struggled to stay asleep. I really do feel for people who struggle like this normally.

I have made June my month for getting new rhythms and rituals in place, and one of the most important will be to get enough sleep, and for my sleep to be good sleep. This is a priority.

What are your top tips for a good night’s sleep?
