Graeme talks about the future of the world of work, and especially about the impact that today's young people will have on the world of tomorrow. He is a recognised world expert on inter-generational interactions and people strategies.

Graeme's uniqueness is found in the combination of well researched, insightful content and his edutaining style. Informing his work is the fact that we live in an increasingly commodotised world, where it is becoming more and more difficult to differentiate yourself from your competitors. In this environment, Graeme convincingly shows that companies that focus more on who they are instead of simply on what they sell will gain - and sustain - a competitive advantage. This means that your ability to attract and retain the right people, and to be able to connect with and relate to your customers are vital strategic issues.

The presentations and workshops provide the frameworks of understanding for this new reality, as well as practical take home value for participants at all levels of the organisation, from senior strategists and leaders to middle management, and from the sales team to receptionists.

Graeme's approach and focus on people strategy allows him to have broad appeal across many different business functions. In a wide range of industries, Graeme has successfully worked with internal teams, leaders and managers to attract, retain and engage talented staff; marketing, sales and customer service to connect with your valued customers; and senior leaders on strategy and business culture issues.

Most Requested Presentations and Workshops

  • Mind the Gap: Understanding the generations - the generation gap; why younger and older people have such different expectations and approaches to life, leadership, work and relationships. Understand and more effectively connect with staff, clients, family and friends. Understand why other people are like they are, and why they act as they do.
  • Winning the Talent Wars: Attracting and retaining a new generation of talented staff - In the global war for talent, companies have discovered that a new generation of "bright young things" seems to have the upper hand. Asking more, giving less, moving more often and generally giving their managers a headache, these young people are nevertheless vital to most companies' success and future. This presentation or workshop explains why today's talent think and act as they do, and provides seven keys into what your company can do to create an attractive culture that not only retains them, but energises and motivates them, too. It encourages an important mindset shift for all companies that are battling with staff turnover, and for those that have identified the need to get - and keep - talented staff as a critical priority.
  • "Hannah's Rules": responding to - and profiting from - a new generation of ethical consumers - the impact that a new generation of consumers will have on business as they care less and less about what you sell, and more and more about who you are and how you sell, and strategies to connect with them before your competitors do.
  • The Connection Economy: the rules of 21st century business success - in an increasingly commodotised world, it is becoming more and more difficult to differentiate yourself from your competitors. Discover the new rules of sustained business success in a connected world, where what you sell is becoming less important, and who you are and how you sell more and more critical. This presentation explains WHY the world is changing, and HOW we can respond.

Customised Presentations and Workshops

Together with his global network of researchers, experts and practitioners, Graeme is always developing new frameworks and presentations. This development is ongoing, but is also done on request if a client has a particular need or interest. Where Graeme is not an expert, he is happy to recommend other speakers from within his network to fulfill a client's needs.

Graeme's latest presentations, and frameworks he is passionate about include:

  • Invitational Leadership: The Future of Leadership. New times require new scripts. The new realities of business in the 21st century require a new leadership framework. This presentation (or workshop) highlights five critical shifts taking place, in the leaders's context and task, the new metaphors for leadership, what leaders measure and the leader's challenge.
  • The Future of Work - Graeme's most ambitious and up-to-date presentation brings the very latest insights, trends and analysis of the global TomorrowToday network directly to you. You will be inspired and challenged in equal measure by Graeme's vision of the future of work, the workplace and workers, as Graeme offers insights into 12 key trends that are shaping and changing the future of work. Create your own specific content package by choosing from these 12 categories of trend tracking, or allow Graeme to customise the presentation for you.
  • Prime Time: the 'retyring' generation - How to retain your retiring ‘baby boomer’ workforce in innovative ways that meet your business needs as well as their ‘re-tyring’ goals. Help them to retyre, refire and rewire, and also harness their talent and wisdom.  In all other life stages the ‘baby boomers’ have changed the world and as they reach the traditional age of retirement, they are set to change that life stage as well. This is the wealthiest, largest, aging population the world has ever seen. Are you ready? Do you know what they want and why? As a workshop, this framework also explains how to harness their marketplace power to your advantage.
  • Regeneration: Power Selling to all generations - There is no detail page for this presentation. It is simply an application of the Mind the Gap framework to the critical task of sales. The focus is on helping sales people of all ages connect more effectively with customers and clients of any age. After a brief overview / recap of the generational framework, this presentation or workshop focuses on case studies, practical examples and real life applications of an understanding of the values driving the behaviour of different generations. The outcome is a more confident and more capable sales team, resulting in improved profit, customer satisfaction and retention.

Upcoming Presentations

Graeme, together with the TomorrowToday team, is currently developing the following presentations. The development of these can be speeded up if you require one of these frameworks at your next event. Please contact us in enough time to put in this request:

  • Diversity - understanding the dynamics of an increasingly integrated, globalised world; harnessing the true value of diversity; leading a diverse team. Although we say we want diversity, most organisations actively discourage difference. Our management systems, corporate cultures and individual styles work towards standardisation, efficiency and an emphasis on towing the party line. By doing so, we are missing out on one of the most important ingredients in an innovative and resilient organisation. This presentation looks at what diversity really is, how we can create an environment to actively promote it, and what must be done to get the most out of a diverse workforce. This is a new vision of what can be achieved when we cultivate our distinctives.
  • Meeting the Millennials - a specific focus on the current generation of children and teens, focusing on how to attract them to your company, how to lead and manage them when they arrive and how to connect with them at customers.

For details of other presentations, workshops and frameworks, see the TomorrowToday websites. Or contact Graeme to talk about customising or even developing a brand new presentation for your specific needs. Anything to do with people trends, connecting with valuable customers or talented staff, leadership or people strategy would really excite Graeme and play to his strengths and passion.
