With regard to equipment for his presentation or workshop, Graeme uses a full multi-media presentation from his own laptop computer (an Apple MacBook). He needs the following equipment to be provided for him:

  • Graeme uses his own laptop as an autocue and makes adjustments to the presentation ‘in the moment’, so needs it to be positioned on the stage where he will be presenting. He needs to see his notes and the next slide view. Graeme will provide either an HDMI or VGA connector for his Apple Mac.

  • A data projector to connect to his laptop, projected onto a large enough screen that everyone has full view of it.
out – and needs to connect to a full sound system.

  • Sound for the full audio he uses with the presentation. This connects to his laptop computer in the standard way – the stereo head phone out – and needs to connect to a full sound system.

  • If the size of the venue and number of participants requires it, a lapel microphone (or equivalent – hand held, headset, etc) will be required to amplify his voice as well. A countryman headset mic is preferred.

If you are unable or unwilling to provide the above setup, you MUST confirm this with Graeme or his agent as part of confirming the event.

Include Graeme in your conference planning

Graeme has spoken at over 3,000 conferences and events in the past two decades and has some exciting ideas and insights into how to build a better conference, which he would be happy to share with your conference organising team.

Graeme can assist you with the simplest of insights around making sure your timing works (you cannot get 250 people to a coffee break and back in the room in 15 minutes); or use his understanding of different generations to ensure that the delivery of your message connects with an audience that includes young and old participants; or suggest innovations he’s seen work (and warn you against a few he’s seen bomb spectacularly) at events around the world. Make sure you include Graeme in your planning - it’s all part of his service to you, helping you craft the best event possible.

Promoting your event

Graeme understands that you need to promote your event to participants, especially if it’s a public event with voluntary participation. Even for internal company events, he knows you may need some help in building anticipation and ensuring attendance.

If it would be useful to you, Graeme can record a short video in his home studio, introducing himself to your delegates, inviting them to your event and promoting the value people will gain from attending his session.

TAKING THE VALUE BACK TO THE OFFICE

Taking value back

Graeme is passionate about ensuring that the value of your event is taken back to the office, and there is real organisational change and
business benefit as a result of his session with you and your team. He has been working on an exciting online resource to make this a reality.

To thrive in the future of work we need to keep learning new skills and develop new habits.

The Future of Work Academy is your partner for identifying, explaining and developing the skills that are required for success in the future, while guiding you through the development steps you need to take to get ahead of change. Graeme and the team at The Academy do this by offering a variety of short, practical courses in an online, monthly membership Academy, focused on each of the skills needed to succeed in the future.

Our research identified eight critical future skills:  1. Emotional intelligence   2. Diversity and social intelligence   3. Horizon scanning and ‘what if thinking’   4. Adaptive intelligence, sense-making and complex problem solving   5. Creativity and intuition  6. Curiosity and storytelling   7. Initiative and entrepreneurship   8. Being tech savvy.

We invite you to watch a short video at http://bit.ly/FOWAIntro for an overview of all that the Academy offers.

The Academy has been designed for members to access the content at their own pace, with each lesson taking between 10 minutes to a few hours (when we provide resources for workshops). The emphasis is on practical, immediately useful information that makes a real difference and is directly applicable at work.

Need a bespoke solution? We are able to offer our corporate clients the opportunity to brand the Academy with their own corporate identity and include additional customized courses using your own material, or customized content addressing your specific needs.

Explore the many free resources at www.thefutureofworkacademy.com and then chat with our team if you want  to ensure your people continue to develop their habits and skills in order to keep your organization ahead of change.
